Homeschool in SC

SC Homeschool Laws state that there are 3 different associations you must choose from in order to homeschool:

Number 1 Doodle

Option 1

  • Requires 4.5 hours a day for 180 days
  • Has standardized tests
Number 2 Doodle
  • Only one association option and that is SCAIHS
  • A counselor gets assigned to help you throughout your homeschooling journey
  • They store transcripts
  • They award high school diploma equivalent (same as a private school)
Number 3 Doodle
  • Has lots of options and one example is Vine & Branches
  • Option 3 associations must have at least 50 members
  • They do not award diplomas
  • Parents are responsible for transcripts
